Latest cover it's a good time to calm things down with a slow and less busy cover. Reflective melancoly is not really the banjo's most confortable teritory but I'd like to think it worked here :)

Banjo Guy Ollie! You are simply amazing! I love your renditions, but was wondering if you'd ever touch any soundtracks from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island?

In particular I think this song:

Would sound absolutely amazing with some Banjos/Mandolins haha just a suggestion I'm a huge fan, thanks for making amazing covers! You Rock!

So I hung up my banjo for one cover and dusted off the ol' girl and gave Megaman X - Spark Mandrill a rocking go.
Thanks to DonutDrums for the drums too !
Let me know what you think :)

While I'm curious what a banjo version of this would be like, this version is good too. It has a nice oomph to it.

Spark Mandrill is also my favorite theme from MMX, so good choice there as well.

thanks.
yeah a banjo version would have bit probably a bit trivky . I play a tenor banjo, which is played usig a plectrum and unlike the 5 string bluegrass banjo, is not clawed with the right hand fingers. It's also tuned very differently, making the fast runs there very hard.
I suppose it would have been possible, but would have lacked the energy the original tune has.
Plus it was great to be playing the old electric again :)

Here's the latest cover. From the first Dune game on the Amiga and PC and SEGA CD
This is kind of a DIY one , with unusual "instruments" used :)

Here's a cover I just finished .
Between mario maker and the NES birthday, I thought I'd go back to the early days of nintendo gaming with the next cover smile emoticon
