I like that Mad Max got recognition outside of technical aspects here. I also need to watch a lot of movies in coming weeks, since I've seen only a few from these lists and only one (Mad Max) from the best picture category.

Best Makeup and Hairstyling:
Mad Max: Fury Road
The 100-Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared
The Revenant

I'm concerned that so many movies flopped so horribly this year that the oscars had to go balls-deep just to find some.

Specifically that.

Nah, the Makeup branch has always been weird. Norbit, Click, and Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa have all gotten nominations in this category. And they love old-age makeup. Love it to bits.

Either way, I've only really 2 movies on this list at all, Inside Out and Cinderella, and I'm pretty sure Inside Out is going to take Best Animated Feature due to pretty much every critic loving the hell out of it, original, and innovative as shit. I don't disagree.

Usually the only two movies for Animated Picture it comes down for me are whatever disney movie came out and whatever Ghibli film came out, and this year is no exception due to When Marnie Was There being that Ghibli film and took a HUGE leap in what Ghibli does extremely well and put it to a somewhat controversal subject. That is, making the animation and story absolutely amazing.

I haven't seen When Marnie Was There yet, but I plan on doing so due to the fact I was pretty much raised on Ghibli films, but from what I heard, for me at least, it's probably the most difficult decision I will have ever had to make. Both When Marnie Was There and Inside Out are probably the best 2015 movies for their genre, and especially pertaining to the fact it's the east type of what people call fantastic vs the east type of what people call fantastic. Either of these movies deserve the award, and it should be a tie between the two.

But none of that is my call, I just hope at least one of these wins. (Inside Out already won a Golden Globe, so it may have a better chance but I'm gonna wait and see what happens.)

Can't wait for the annual "Leo DiCaprio didn't win an Oscar" hysteria.

I wouldn't really want to bet on it. From what I gather, people are saying that his role in The Revenant was... meh.

He's won every other award for it so far.
